Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear air helper bags on a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Today's trucks seem like comfort seems to take over the role instead of to towing capacity when it comes to suspension, and that's 'cause a lot of people daily drive their trucks. But if you're doing truck things, like pulling a trailer or putting a payload in your truck, that's when you really start to notice that suspension, you can handle it, but it does want to sag quite a bit. A lot of that just comes down to the factory jounce bumpers being really short. So these normally bolts up on the frame, and the jounce strike plate is down here. So that leaves a huge gap for these to compress before bottoming out. more

This is how the air springs are gonna look like installed on your truck. And the concept on how they're gonna work is really simple. They're just gonna fill that void between the bottom of your frame and the top of your axle, and that's how they're gonna provide that support. more

Today we have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 that we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs. Air helper springs are going to be a suspension enhancement that is designed to help to some of the load that you have, either in the bed of your truck or on the hitch behind your truck. To show you a little bit better what we mean, we're gonna go underneath the truck and show you what they look like when they're installed. Now, underneath our vehicle you can get a much better look at the airbags and what they're actually accomplishing. So, you can see our bracket here is bolted up to our frame and it's gonna take the place of your jounce bumpers, and it's bolted down to our axle also. more

Before we do that though, let's take a moment, check these out and see if they're gonna work for you. Underneath the truck this is what your air suspension can look like once it's installed. And essentially these are just going to replace your factory style jounce bumpers, which these jounce bumpers really don't do much for extra support. They're really just there to help prevent the suspension from bottoming out. more

Now, with this, there's gonna be two options, you've got the lighter density blue one and the more medium density black one. They both install the exact same way, one is just going to be a little bit more dense, and in turn, offer a bit more support. But we'll talk about that right now. Hi, John with Etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 series on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. If you use your truck like a truck, you know that every time you load it down, your truck kind of sags in the back. And you're gonna get usually a terrible ride, and your headlights are gonna be shooting up as you're going down the road, Air Lift load springs are gonna bring your truck back to the factory ride height, that's gonna be the most comfortable ride and the safest ride. For instance, on our truck today, this truck has already been outfitted with some great storage units in the back of this truck, and it came to us loaded down here. So we're gonna get some measurements on it just to see what their normal day-to-day ride height looks like on this. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Timbren suspension enhancement system for the rear axle on a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500. Adding rear suspension helper springs is really a great option because your factory jounce bumper is pretty short and a lot of that comes down to people are daily driving their trucks more and more, so manufacturers are kind of making them a little bit more comfortable and that way, when you're daily driving, you're not getting that harsh suspension. But with that, sometimes the suspension squats quite a bit. And partially I think is because the jounce bumpers take so long to engage and by the time they do engage that suspensions really lost a lot of this travel. Whereas adding these are going to kind of give it a fighting chance. It's not gonna be able to squish down all the way and that's gonna allow those shocks to have more compression as you hit bumps. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle on a 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500. Trucks have become kind of daily drivers for a lot of people, and with that, they're really aiming for comfort. But when you need a truck to do truck things, as far as carry weight or tow a trailer, it can still do it. The thing is, is that comfort that they've designed has allowed the vehicle to really sag and you're not gonna get as much suspension travel, and a lot of that comes down to your jounce bumpers. It takes a long time for those to engage. Well, if you can engage them a little bit quicker, it's gonna soften that blow, not only on normal driving, but also when that heavy load comes, the rear suspension is going to fight back with these SumoSprings in place, giving the suspension a fighting chance and just making a better overall towing experience. more

Roadmaster Active Suspension Kit Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hey, guys. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Roadmaster Active Suspension enhancement system on our 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500. All right, so here's our Roadmaster Active Suspension kit installed on our 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500. As you can see, uses a simple hook to attach onto the leaf spring up here, and then down here, it uses some brackets with a bolt that's gonna go on the other side of your spring stack. So the Roadmaster Active Suspension system is gonna really help out with any pin weight issues that you have with your fifth wheel. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Roadmaster Active Suspension Heavy Duty Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit on our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. So, this heavy duty custom leaf spring kit is gonna be really good about mitigating any sag that you might experience when you're dropping in a heavy load, maybe you're hauling your travel trailer, your fifth wheel and you're just seeing just too big of a sag and it's kinda forcing the front of your truck up and pulling your wheels off of the ground, which is gonna affect your wear on your tires and your braking. So, that's gonna help mitigate that, along with our SumoSprings that our customer already has installed on his truck today. That's just gonna overall together, give you a better ride quality and better handling so that you maintain a safe and comfortable ride. All right. Hey, guys, Kevin here with etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the coil SumoSprings on our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. So these coil SumoSprings are gonna be really great if you have a snow plow on the front of your Chevy, your Dodge, or your Ford truck, or if you have a wench or any other front-mounted accessory, maybe you have a bike rack on the front and you've got four bikes, and it's really just sagging you down up front and you just need that extra support. And so that you don't feel all those bumps in the road up front. These are also really good if you're off-roading. It will help give your springs a little bit more oomph there, so that they can hold in place and give you a nice stable ride. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Stability Plus Stabilizer on our 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. So the Stability Plus Stabilizer is really gonna help if you're hauling heavy loads, maybe you got a fifth wheel, maybe you have a travel trailer and it's giving you a whole lot of sag. Dropping you down, putting more weight on the back, then on the front, it really will help out lifting that load back up and mitigating that stress that it's putting on your axle and on your leaf springs and that's going to give you better drivability. You won't have as hard of a time trying to make turns. It's gonna kind of help with any swaying as well. And that's also ultimately gonna affect your brakes as well because if you're putting too much pressure back here, and you're putting it all on these tires, you're gonna be losing your breaking power up front and putting all of it on the back, which'll in turn, give you less breaking power. more

So here's what the bags are going to actually look like once we have them installed. Now, these are going to be a direct replacement for our factory jounce stops. And as you can see, just looking at the size of them, they are going to provide us a lot more support, purely because our factory jounce stops are going to be mounted to the bottom of the frame, and it's really meant just there to keep our frame from making contact with the axle. So whenever we get down too close, this'll make contact, preventing them bottoming out. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at eTrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for the rear axle. Airbags are going to be beneficial whenever we're hauling a heavy trailer or even have a heavy load in the bed of our truck for a couple of different reasons. With the factory suspension, without airbags, with that heavy load in the back, the truck is actually going to sag in the back and that's going to lift the front end up higher, shining our headlights up potentially in other motorists' eyes and not on the ground down where we want them. And since our tires won't be sitting perfectly flat on the ground, those are also going to get worn out faster and we're not going to have such responsive steering and braking as we would whenever we're driving it stock.So what we like to do to get a feel for the improvement that our airbags are going to make is take measurements of the front and back of the truck, the factory suspension, and no weight. Then put weight in it, and then we can compare all of our numbers. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Airlift LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs for the rear axle. That's going to be part number AL57204.Typically, the reason who you would want airbags is because you're carrying a heavy in your truck bed like this or if you have a heavy load on your trailer. It's going to cause a lot of strain on your suspension and it's going to cause that back end to sag down. Now not only that, but it's going to wear out your brakes faster and potentially, since the back end's dropping down, it's going to bring the front end up which could cause major tire wear or unsafe alignment of your headlights blinding people when you're going down the road.Now the load we have in the back of our bed actually dropped the back end two inches down and it actually raised the front end a half an inch up. Which I can tell you by driving around, I could definitely tell there is a major load in the back and it just didn't really feel as responsive driving around. And it just kind of felt like the front end was floating. more

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part number F2430.This is what our bags look like when they're installed, these bags are gonna have a 4,800 pound max load capacity. What these are gonna do is they're gonna soften the contact between the axle and the frame to prevent bottoming out. These are also gonna improve your steering control and braking while you're hauling and towing. You can adjust the air pressure in these from five PSI up to 100 PSI and each is gonna have its own single valve.Each bag is gonna be attached with a corrosion resistant metal end plate that has a rolled crimp seal. The bags are gonna be double convoluted rubber construction design for max load support. These are gonna offer you full adjustability so you're gonna be able to level your truck side to side and front to back. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're gonna take a look at, and also show you how to install, the Firestone Ride-Rite Double Convoluted Air Helper Springs for the Rear Axle, part number is: F2430.Here's a look at the air bag from underneath the vehicle. As you can see, as we talked about, we have our frame connection point here, and our axle connection point here. A few other features that are nice is that with the double convoluted-design: we don't need a great deal of space for our airbags to work, and not have to worry about them getting damaged by rubbing up against something. We only really need about a half inch of space all the way around our bag. Another interesting feature of the air bag is gonna be the way they designed their roll crimp here at the top. With this kind of spirals around the rubber, and this will actually allow you to temporarily hang your axle for general maintenance, oil changes, fluid flushes, things like that. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today in our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 air helper springs for the rear axle. Part number AL57204. Here's what our air bags look like installed.These airbags will operate between five minimum PSI and 100 maximum PSI. They offer up to 5000 pounds of load leveling support. So what that means is if you're towing a trailer, like a gooseneck or a Fifth Wheel and you had a 5000 pounds pen weight, this will maintain your vehicles right hight up to that amount of weight. Also, if you have a heavy load in the bed of your truck like hauling a load of rocks or gravel, you can maintain your factory right height with that amount of weight.It's important to note that these airbags don't give you an additional 5000 pounds of load carrying capacity. more
